Adam Noone

Hailing from Broadstairs, England, Adam has been playing poker since 2003. His enthusiasm for the game started after watching poker on TV for the first time. Previously a bookmaker, Adam decided to leave his day job and take up poker on a part-time professional level. He still enjoys journalistic work and is a regular contributor to online poker information hub TheHendonMob.com.

Mostly a tournament player who prefers No-Limit Hold ‘em or HORSE, Adam built his bankroll by playing small stakes Sit & Gos and gradually moved up in stakes as his game improved. His decision to go pro has certainly paid off; his first splash on the pro scene came when he made Day 4 of the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event, finishing in 209th place for over $50K in prize money.

Adam’s greatest accomplishment to date is winning the Full Tilt Poker Million Pound Challenge, held in London during September 2008. He qualified for the live event online at Full Tilt Poker, then went on to defeat 79 other players and gain the coveted title of tournament champion.

After winning the live tournament, Adam had the chance to play three heads-up matches against Full Tilt Poker pros and earn a cool £1 million if he could win all three. Adam was able to defeat Phil Ivey and Chris Ferguson, but came up short against Roland de Wolfe. Although just one win away from the potential £1 million prize, he still walked away with £200,000 for winning the tournament and two of the three heads-up matches.

Outside of poker, you can find season ticket holder Adam cheering on his beloved Arsenal Football Club. Away from Highbury Stadium, look for him playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
