  • QUESTION FROM callmeachiever: what is the single most important thing to do to improve your game?

ANSWER FROM Joao Barbosa: play, analyse and think about the game. somethings you have to figure out yourself rather than having someone telling you what to do

  • QUESTION FROM Deuces124: hi

    ANSWER FROM Joao Barbosa: hey

  • QUESTION FROM Pupp3tMast3r: A simple question to start with: how do you deal with people in low buying tournaments that shove after the flop almost every time? Most books, lessons and materials assume that players are at least decent ...

ANSWER FROM Joao Barbosa: I would give that play moderate respect, probably call with top pair or better

  • QUESTION FROM yxann: ?????????? ??? ?????????? ftp?

ANSWER FROM Joao Barbosa: english please :)

  • QUESTION FROM Pupp3tMast3r: What are a few of the most important differences in your opinion between a double stack (3000 chips) and a super stack (5000 or 7500 chips) tournaments? (I'm reffering of course to the beginning of the tournament)

ANSWER FROM Joao Barbosa: I play very tight either way. but the deeper you are the more you like hands that make the nuts like middle PP, Axs, middle connectorts

  • QUESTION FROM DonkeyKong531: What is your rule of thumb on bankroll management?

ANSWER FROM Joao Barbosa: I am experienced enough to not have any particular rule of thumb. Sometimes it is more about choosing stakes that dont affect you psichologicaly short term than the bankroll itself. Never go broke - that's a good rule!

  • QUESTION FROM callmeachiever: when approaching MTTs do you like to be the aggressive chip accumulator or the survivalist? and how often should you switch gears?

ANSWER FROM Joao Barbosa: i change gears a lot, there are times to survive and times to build a stack, I usually wait until the preflop pot matters before trying to steal a lot

  • QUESTION FROM Pupp3tMast3r: It's the very first hand of the tournament (I had that happening to me) I was BB and I called a min raise. Villan kept pot betting at me. No info on the villan. Side question: do you look your opponents up on oprankings.com or other similar sites
