Bill Gazes plays online at Full Tilt Poker.

He may not be a household name, but among his peers, there are few players more respected than Bill Gazes. Bill started out as an amateur player, sitting in cash games for fun in his spare time. After a few years of solid play in the card rooms around LA, Bill decided the time had come to turn his hobby into his profession.
Since turning pro more than 10 years ago, Bill has quietly earned a reputation as one of the game’s most consistent players, finishing in the money more often than not.
In 1997, Bill scored his first big finish taking fourth in the $2K WSOP No-Limit Hold ‘em event. Since then, he’s found a way to finish in the money nearly 50 times, and has reached the final table in more than 20 events. His biggest cash finish to date came in the 2005 WPT Main Event, where he claimed third place and $759K.
Over the years, Bill has developed a mellow, laid-back style that lets him quietly accumulate chips without attracting attention of his competitors. But, among his peers, he has to work hard to help from standing out in the crowd.
