ANSWER FROM Aaron Bartley: well both, but mainly persistence. I mean, if you have a 10% ROI in SNGs (baller), you'll need to play (on average) around 9.1k in buyins to win a 10k seat, so that's a lot of playing

ANSWER FROM Aaron Bartley: yes, SNGs require a different skill set then tournaments do, but in general being tight early on is always the best approach, and then figure out how to best exploit the tendancies of the players at the table once the blinds get significant

ANSWER FROM Aaron Bartley: not nearly as much as I should. I'd guess it's something like 40:1 or so
ANSWER FROM Aaron Bartley: when I was starting out/getting better it was like 1:1, but that was basically because all I'd do at my jobby job was think about hands and situations and theory and get on forums to debate hands and stuff

ANSWER FROM Aaron Bartley: not in terms of progression, I think that if you are trying to judge if you are a winner at a limit and/or if you should move up you can look at x # of hands/tournaments
