在奥马哈高/低赛中选择起手牌

我坚信在奥马哈高/低赛中无法非常谨慎的玩牌，特别是在常规赛中。我会首先承认，那样谨慎的玩牌并不特别有趣，但除非您有耐心，那样它将和那些任何能够赚取奖金的比赛一样好玩。

这是我如何谨慎玩奥马哈高/低赛的想法：如果我玩HORSE，而且在进入下一场游戏之前，拿牌拿到10局奥马哈高/低牌，那很有可能，我不会玩一局牌。总体上说，我将可能每轮只玩一局。这是一个谨慎的策略，但在像奥马哈高/低这样的比赛中，很多玩家并不了解其手中成手的牌力，而且可能会犯错，这是一个能够获胜策略。

而谈到起手牌的时候，而且在任何情况下，我都从未在成手中没有A的时候，自愿地将钱放入底池。通常情况下，我需要的是A-2。这是理想状况，那就是握有A-2还有一些其他的低牌。我也会玩 A-3，如果A是同色的。

当您放松对成手的要求时，那同时您也会陷入麻烦当中。例如我有像A-4-7-9和同色A这样的成手。这样的成手模棱两可。我知道很多人玩这样的成手，但这样的成手会让玩家很容易地陷入麻烦之中。如果我放弃成手，随后看到一张对我来说有用的翻牌，那我也不会感到不悦。因为与我对手所玩的成手相比，我的A-4-7-9可能非常无力。

您所应该真正希望得到的成手是您所有的牌都能够相互照应的成手。这里是一局典型的奥马哈高/低差牌，这其中的牌配合在一起并不好：K-10-3-4。一些人看到这局牌之后会说，“这局牌有一点高牌的可能，和一点低牌的可能”。的确，它的确是有一点可能—这点可能非常之小。这里有2张差高牌和2张差低牌。
