Originally from Dayton, Ohio, David started playing poker in various home games around Ohio and Kentucky. In fact, one of the home games he played in was run by the parents of his friend and fellow Full Tilt Poker pro, Keith Sexton. David and Keith would later start a successful custom home building business in Las Vegas, which David still runs today.

David tried a variety of jobs early in life, including teaching and the insulation business, but in the end poker was always the most profitable career. In 1988, David travelled to Las Vegas and placed second and third in the first local tournaments he played. Spurred on by his success, David went back to Ohio only to pick up his clothes and truck, and made the move permanent. Upon his return to Vegas, David won Amarillo Slim’s Superbowl of Poker and also the first Razz tournament he ever played in.

Although mostly known as an expert 7-Card Stud player and cash game specialist, David has also cashed in numerous tournaments over the past few years including several World Series of Poker events. He is a very talented Limit Hold ‘em player and though he only started playing No Limit Hold ‘em three years ago, David is already seeing good results in the most popular poker game played today.
