Zuletzt war ja Lady Gaga mit “Pokerface” über Wochen ganz oben in den Charts und wurde im Radio und bei den Musiksendern im TV rauf und runter gespielt.
Mit Pokern hatte der Song an sich nicht all zu viel zu tun, wobei der Titel halt darauf schließen ließ.Anders ist es aber bei einem Lied, das mir vor einigen Tagen unter kam.
Der Interpret des Songs heißt Mick Flannery , kommt aus Irland und ist im Gegensatz zu Lady Gaga ein ruhigerer Vertreter der Zunft, der nicht in allen Gazetten erscheint.
Sein Song ” Take it on the Chin” ist eher Folk- und Bluesmäßig angehaucht und läßt vom Titel her auch nicht gleich aufs Pokern schließen.
Aber wie so oft täuscht der erste Eindruck und hinter dem Lied verbirgt sich ein Pokersong der Extraklasse.
Mick Flannery beschreibt in dem Song auf supercoole Art und Weise eine Pokerrunde und darin kommen die üblichen Szenarien vor wie sie wohl schon mal jeder erlebt hat. Untermauert wird dies alles noch, da es quasi in einer Art Tabletalk gehalten wird…aber bevor ich jetzt viel drüber schreibe und wir es ja hören wollen, ist hier der Link zu dem Song auf youtube und für alle, die mitsingen wollen, auch noch der Text.
