    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: t's ok to go broke near the bubble. most of the money in tourneys comes from winning them or final tabling them, and one of the best times to accumulate chips is near the bubble. as a consequence, you'll often go bust around that time, but the times

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: you don't it will more than make up for it. if you want to just money though, the obvious advice is to just tighten up near the bubble but then you're letting the aggressive people steal some of your chips!!

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: i prefer a raise because i'll be raising most of the other hands i'll play...if you are actively raising frequently and then suddenly limp it might make your opponents suspicious. you're hoping someone will 3 bet your raises when you have a big hand.

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: high stakes is more difficult, but yes it can be frustrating having people chase you down. if they are calling too much you have to punish them by betting and raising them often to capitalize on their mistakes and bluffing less if they are never folding

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: you're running bad for sure, but 14,000 hands is not a large sample size for poker. it will take several hundreds of thousands of hands for your expectation to be realized.

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: that's tough to answer...i detach myself from my emotions pretty well and am constantly thinking about the game and ways i can play better. plus i have a pretty strong math background and solid grasp on logic.

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: hold em manager has a tab which lets you do various studies of your results and hand histories. i'm sure there are others out there but i don't know offhand what they are.

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: don't get overly high expectations of what stakes you should be playing or profits you hope to achieve, because poker is very tough and unpredictable. also be sure to play within strict bankroll guidelines so you do not go broke!! good luck!!

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: tough to answer in depth but playing tight and aggressive is always the way to go in poker. online lacks physical tells but sometimes there are timing tells which you can capitalize on.

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: full tilt decides who to make pros, but yes, it does seem that winning some tourneys is the #1 way to get a pro-deal with a website...being a cute female can help too, or being a foreign player likewise seems to help.

    ANSWER FROM Mike Schneider: keep modest expectations and be aiming to improve every time you play the game. participate in poker forums and get memberships to sites such as cardrunners or deucescracked etc. treat it like a job and take it seriously. g'luck to you!!
