Eli Elezra is an accomplished poker player by anyone’s standard. He began playing while serving in the Israeli Army, and continued to develop his game following his discharge. After a good deal of world travel, Eli settled in Las Vegas where he built his bankroll – "the way most players do" – by moving up in limits as it would allow. Unlike most players, Eli’s poker prowess and business success enabled him to play at the highest limits within just a few years.

While he’s primarily a ring game player, Eli has also experienced tremendous success on the tournament scene. He’s cashed in 12 WSOP events, making it to the final tables in five of them. Of these, Eli’s biggest WSOP success came in the form of his first bracelet – and $198K – in 2007. He worked his way to the top of a 236 player field to claim victory in the $3K Seven-Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better event. Amongst his other impressive performances, Eli earned his first WPT title in 2004. He took down the $10K No-Limit Hold ‘em event at the Mirage and walked away with over $1 million.

While Eli’s clearly a force to be reckoned with at the table, he doesn’t look at himself as a poker professional. First and foremost, he considers himself a family man, happily married with five children. Secondly, he’s a multi-million dollar businessman with one of the most successful nightclubs on the Vegas strip. Finally, Eli sees himself as a poker "enthusiast". In spite of this modesty, he’s one of the few "enthusiasts" who just happens to play regularly in the Big Game at the Bellagio – but only when his first two priorities allow it.

As you might expect from a man with a solid command of all games, Eli’s favorite is HORSE. Of the lot, he’s got a real penchant for Seven-card Stud High/Lo. If you want to see him in action, look for Eli playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
