Like many people, Eric developed an interest in poker after watching a televised poker tournament. However, he quickly proved to be far from your average poker enthusiast. In just a few months at the tables Eric turned a $200 deposit into $34,000. He continued to jump up the ranks, and was soon a regular in some of the biggest No-Limit Hold ‘em cash games on the Internet.

Despite his great achievements at the poker tables and his role as an instructor at CardRunners.com, Eric is still a student himself, completing his senior year at Duke University. He has recently branched out into playing live poker tournaments and finished in-the-money at an EPT event in January 2008.

Away from poker, Eric likes to spend his time doing volunteer work (he was previously involved with the Red Cross), as well as traveling and spending time with friends.
