Esther Rossi

Esther started playing poker in 1987 after moving to Las Vegas, where she worked as an airline customer service representative. Esther was introduced to Seven-Card Stud by a friend in her local casino and as her skills improved, she decided to leave her job and play poker professionally.

Five months into playing, Esther entered her first ever tournament - the $500 Women’s Seven-Card Stud event at the 1988 World Series of Poker. She finished in 2nd place and walked away with over $10K in prize money, which provided a nice bankroll to start her poker career.

Esther went on to win the $500 Seven-Card Stud event at the Amarillo Slim’s Superbowl of Poker in Vegas in 1990, earning more than $50K in prize money. In 2005, she finished 389th at the WSOP Main Event, winning over $18K. 2008 saw Esther make her biggest tournament score to date as she placed 4th in the WSOP $1,500 HORSE event, winning over $68K in prize money. All told, she has earned over $300K in live poker tournaments.
