Steve Yea plays online at Full Tilt Poker.

South Korean player Steve Yea was first introduced to poker in 2006 when he tried his hand playing live ring games. Previously a Warcraft gamer and programmer, he was naturally inclined to give online poker a shot. After a few wins in freerolls, he switched to small-stakes tournaments and built up his bankroll by grinding up the stakes. Steve currently concentrates on online poker and prefers to play up to 10 ring games and three tournaments simultaneously.
Although he’s a relatively new player, Steve has already demonstrated great potential in live tournaments. He placed 25th in his first live tournament, the $485 No-Limit Hold ‘em event at the 2007 Legends of Poker in Los Angeles. Later that year he placed 10th in the $2,350 APPT Philippines event, walking away with over $8K in prize money. 2008 saw Steve make his biggest score on the tournament circuit when he won $250K for placing 2nd in the $5,000 No Limit Hold ’em event at the Asian Poker Tour held in Macau.
Steve aims to become the ambassador for poker in Asia and is proud to be the first native Asian player to become a Full Tilt Poker pro. Outside of poker, he still enjoys playing Warcraft 3 and Starcraft and feels those games help him with his poker strategy. Look for Steve online and join him at the tables on Full Tilt Poker.
