Greg “FBT” Mueller Takes Home 2nd Bracelet of the 2009 WSOP

Dublin, Ireland

Full Tilt Poker leads bracelet race with an unbelievable seven titles.

Full Tilt Poker’s Greg “FBT” Mueller has won his second WSOP bracelet of 2009 – just two weeks after winning his inaugural WSOP title, giving Full Tilt Poker an astounding seven 2009 World Series of Poker bracelets, far more than any other team.

Mueller bested a starting field of 572 in the $1,500 Limit Hold 'em Shootout Event to win his second WSOP title and more than $194K in prize money. Mueller follows Team Full Tilt’s Phil Ivey in winning his second bracelet of this series as Mueller captured his first bracelet in Event #33, the $10K World Championship Limit Hold ‘em event.

Heads-up play finally began with Mueller holding the chip lead, nearly 2.9 million to Naalden’s 700K. In spite of Mueller’s lead, the final match-up was a hard-fought battle that saw each player steal the lead back and forth for over two hours.

In the final hand, Naalden raised from the button and Mueller called to see a flop of 10d-4d-3s. Mueller checked before calling Naalden’s bet and the turn showed Kc. Mueller check-raised and Naalden re-raised to push all in. The river came Jh and Mueller’s Kd-5h stood against Naalden’s Kh-2s.

Mueller’s career tournament earnings now stand at over $1.7 million.
