What's in a name? For Chip Jett, the answer is a career as one of the most feared tournament poker players in the game today.
Like many of the world's top poker players, Chip started his career working on the other side of the table. After dealing countless hands at an Indian casino near his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, he couldn't help but pick up on the strategies of winning players. When he finally decided to put his knowledge to the test, Chip quickly became his employer's best customer; for the next six years at the casino, Chip ended up playing more hours there than he worked.

Chip's aggressive style quickly earned him a reputation as one of the toughest tournament players in his corner of Arizona. Not content to remain a shark in a small pond, Chip went hunting for bigger and bigger games. In 2001, Chip came to Hollywood and made a huge splash at the L.A. Poker Classic by reaching five final tables. Even more impressive was the range of Chip's game, pulling down big money finishes in Seven-Card Stud, Seven-Card Stud Hi/Lo, Omaha Hi/Lo, HORSE, and No-Limit Hold' em.
After several more L.A. Poker Classic final tables in 2002 and 2003, Chip went swimming in international waters where he finished second to Team Full Tilt's Howard Lederer at the 2003 Poker Millions Cruise, taking home a whopping $176,000 – his biggest payday yet. Back on shore, Chip made an incredible 16 final tables at major tournaments in 2003, including two at the WSOP.
In the years since, Chip has continued his tournament onslaught, making a total of 33 major final tables and numerous finishes in the money, bringing his lifetime tournament winnings to more than $1.9 million.
Chip is an iron man when it comes to tournament poker, playing an average of 300 events a year. His dedication and his skill make him one of the most respected tournament players alive.
When he's not dominating the tournament circuit, you can find Chip spending time with his wife, fellow Full Tilt Poker pro Karina Jett, and playing online at Full Tilt Poker.
