ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Not sure if you are playing limit or no limit, but you should play according to your bankroll. It is ok to take shots, but if you run poorly and your bankroll is reduced then you need to step down in stakes until you rebuild.

  • QUESTION FROM PINGFLICK: hello starting to get bored playing tight, what should i do next?

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: It's good to get experience in both, but you usually can get more bang for the buck in terms of bankroll by playing in sit-n-gos and multi table tournaments. If your bankroll is limited you may want to play tournaments rather than cash games at first.

  • QUESTION FROM PINGFLICK: is there a more intermediate strategy i could start learning and playing, any you recommend?

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Totally depends on the game and the stakes but if you are just learning a new game I would recommned playing tight and watching the other players at first before you add a lot of moves to your game.

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Besides live tells (reading and avoiding) I think that you can probably bluff and semibluff much more but need to play a tighter range of starting hands.

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Play the freerolls.

  • QUESTION FROM kingkurtis6: diego how can i get dollars if i broke?

  • QUESTION FROM DedicatedPMP: is this because live play seems to last/drag on longer and it makes players seem tighter than they actually playing ?? or would i just have to play more live to get used to it ??

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: I think it is mostly because the demographics of live games are much different than online.

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: All tough players - Phil Ivet, Devil FIsh, David Pham, Toto Leonidas, but actually Simon Zhang may have been the toughest at first because I had never played with him before.

  • QUESTION FROM DedicatedPMP: i see ... and im quessing since thats the main population it changes the game a little for live (am i getting it right??) ... ok thanks happy holidays

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Yes, live players tend to be older and therefore more conservative generally, rad forums and visit training sites less often, etc, which leads to a different style of play.

  • QUESTION FROM TampaJon: what up

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Not much, you?

  • QUESTION FROM AshwinT: which was more satisfying winning that $2000NL or the Legends of Poker NL table?

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Thank you, and the same to you, I wish you a very healthy and happy holiday and new year.

  • QUESTION FROM CoronadoMan: is it worth it trying to make a living playing poker? Honestly?

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Depends on what your alternatives are. I think it is worth a try becaise the rewards can be great, but you have to be realistic and if you have other opportunities that are better than you should pursue those.

  • QUESTION FROM TampaJon: what is the best way to play ace king off preflop

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Cash game or tournament. Really the most important factor is stack size relative to blinds. Obviously position is also important.

  • QUESTION FROM CoronadoMan: what do yout think is the most profitable game today?

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: I think the mixed games offer the most value right now, expecially the ones that mix limit and no limit disciplines.

  • QUESTION FROM TampaJon: im the dealer and mid stacked cash

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: With AK on the button than I would raise any limpers or blinds (if first in) gievn your position, and then remember not to overplay one pair if you flop an A or K.

  • QUESTION FROM kingkurtis6: whats best way to bankroll build and how do you get full tilt points fast

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: I think the best way to build a bankroll is to play sit-n-go tournaments, both one table and multitable. Regarding full tilt points I suppose multitabling cash games will generate the most points, but you need to make sure you have the bankroll to do that

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: Depends on how many chips the other players have and how many total chips are in play, and also how aggressive the move in player is. Sounds borderline, depends a lot on those factors.

ANSWER FROM Diego Cordovez: I have busted out, good luck to everyone in the tournament.
