John Dolan plays online at Full Tilt Poker.

Born in New Jersey and raised in Bonita Springs, Florida, John attended Bishop Verot High School in Fort Meyers and went on to study business at Florida State University for two years.
After playing a bit of poker in college, he got serious about the game once he dropped out of university. He decided to try his hand at making a living playing poker when he started to experience some success playing online, including a $94,000 payout in a Full Tilt Poker $1k Monday tournament in 2009.
As he turned to live tournament play, John managed to run up winnings of over $200,000. After cashing in two events in the 2009 WSOP but not making any deep runs, he went to Las Vegas in 2010 determined to make a final table. He took a step in the right direction by finishing 32nd in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold ‘em Event #30 for $13,000.
He finally reached his goal to sit at a final table when he finished sixth in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold ‘em Event #36 to cash for over $82,000. Then he carried that momentum over to the Main Event as he stormed through the starting field of 7,319 to join the November 9. His sixth-place finish was good for over $1.7 million in prize money.
John claims that his main ambition in poker is to make enough money that he only needs to play when he wants to.
