Mark started playing live games with his friends, but he quickly caught the online poker bug. Under the handle "pokerbok," Mark honed his game playing against Full Tilt Poker's pros where he earned himself a reputation as one of the top amateurs on the site.

In 2005, Mark won the Pot-Limit Omaha event at the 2005 Crown Victorian Poker Championship. However, 2006 was his break out year.

So far, Mark's been making waves all over the globe. He finished eighth in the 2006 Aussie Millions Main Event at the Crown Casino where he cashed for $60,000. Then, he placed second in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event at the Rendez Vous World Poker Tour tournament in Paris earning $50,000. After that, he placed second in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for another $50,000 and fifth in the Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event at the Grosvenor World Masters in London.

Then, at the 2006 World Series of Poker, Mark won his first bracelet in the $2K No-Limit Hold'em event, winning more than $800,000 after a two-hour heads-up battle with Nam Le.

Following his return to Australia, earned yet another title at the 2006 Crown Victorian Poker Champs in the rebuy event, picking up nearly $40,000 for his efforts. After cashing for more than $100,000 in Europe, Australia and America, Mark has won more than $1 million this year.

Mark is known as a successful online poker player and he's well on the way to showing he's got what it takes to succeed on the live tournament circuit.

Though, Mark plays online about 35 hours a week, he plans to continue competing in live events for at least the next five years. After that, he'll spend his time relaxing and looking for life's next thrill.
