Over the course of his poker career, Phil has won a World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship and reached five WSOP final tables. To date, he has banked over $2.7 million in career tournament earnings.

Phil walked away from his debut at the 2001 WSOP Main Event with $400K in winnings for a 4th place finish. In 2002 he made the final table in both the $2K Pot Limit Hold ´em and the $2.5K Omaha Hi/Lo Split events, banking more than $47K. He won the first ever Pro Division of the World Poker Tour in Aruba for $250K.

In 2004, Phil broke records at the WPT Bay 101 "Shooting Stars" tournament by becoming the only person to win by knocking out two players simultaneously, for $360K in prize money.

In 2005, he finished 8th in the WSOP $1K No-Limit Hold 'em event, for over $66K. He also made the final table in the WSOP $1.5K No-Limit Hold 'em event, finishing 3rd and walking away with more than $75K. In 2006, Phil won the Full Tilt Poker Championship in Vegas, for a $600K payday. He also won the Week 2 airing of the 2009 Poker After Dark televised series.

During the 2010 WSOP, Phil cashed four times, the highlight of which was his victory in the $5K Ante Up For Charity event - he generously donated the entire $130K first prize to the charity.

Phil has also played an active role in poker broadcasting, co-hosting “Celebrity Poker Showdown” and “Pro-AM Poker Equalizer”. In 2003, he analyzed the WSOP Main Event for Binion's live Internet broadcast, and also provided updates for a national radio station. He released his DVD "Final Table with Phil Gordon" in 2005, and was the main broadcaster for the live pay-per-view airing of the 2006 WSOP.

Phil is an accomplished poker writer. His books include: Poker: The Real Deal, Phil Gordon's Little Black Book, Phil Gordon's Little Green Book, and Phil Gordon's Little Blue Book. He contributed to Tales from the Tiltboys, and writes the ESPN column: The Poker Edge. Phil, alongside Howard Lederer, is also one of the two Deans of the Full Tilt Poker Academy.
