Tough Table,Tough Day

I didn’t enter the Ladies event yesterday because I wanted to focus on the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament. It was a really tough day for me. The whole day was an absolute struggle.

You knew in that event that there weren’t going to be any good table draws. My table had Jen Harman, Mark Seif, Gus Hansen, Marcel Luske, and Tex Barch. Whenever you walk up to a table and you know everyone sitting there, it’s a bad table.

I got crippled very early in the day. I lost a big pot when I flopped a boat and a guy rivered a bigger boat. I never recovered from that. That pot cost me $8,000, and that was pretty early on so I was at like $2,000 or $2,500 for most of the rest of the day. I finally busted out on the hand right before the dinner break. I just couldn’t make anything happen. That’s just the way it goes.
