#043 – FTOPS #7 Update F – Broken (but not broke), at the Third Break
We are at the third break with 174 players left. The money (top 72) still looks a long, long way away, and I have relatively little interest in bottom money. I have to move up a bunch of spots just to break even for my FTOPS expenditures. I have 16,751, against an average of about 17,000. The chip leader has almost 70,000, another player has over 60,000. David Chiu is in 10th and I think he owes me a thank you. Steve Z and Clonie Gowen have passed me. Andy Bloch and Phil Gordon are just below me. Stuart Paterson is still hanging in. That’s it for the 20 Full Tilt Poker pros who started the event.
Just after the last post, I picked up A-Ko in the big blind. A player in middle position raised to 1500. SargeAZ moved all in for 6,000. I pushed in all my chips. The initial raiser folded and Sarge showed A-T. He hit a ten, however, and I lost the 14,000 chip pot. I’m back down to 17,000 as we get close to the break.
At least, as compensation, they moved me away from this table. I don’t recognize any of the players at the new table. I’m sure some of them are excellent online tournament players. Someone might even be a big-time pro in disguise. But for the first time tonight, I’m not looking at a table with multiple custom avatars.
