We’ve been going on 5 hours and it’s been a pressure cooker.

Did Andy’s moment pass?
I see Andy looking up at the monitor occasionally – not much but he’s NEVER done that, or practically never.

I think Andy is right to fold to a lot of early shows of Ted’s strength. His value is winning the big-pot showdowns.

Ted wins with K-2
By 2:53 PM, Ted has won nearly all of it back. [I think I was referring to the losses of the previous two days Beal inflicted on Jennifer Harman and Todd Brunson, though that amount was actually $6 million and the notes refer to Forrest being ahead $4 million for the day later on this page. Though I could have been referring to Beal’s net win of $3M for the February 1-5 sessions ($3.2M loss) and February 12-13 sessions ($6.2M win) combined.]
Now it seems Andy is throwing away hand after hand.
Ted raises his button. Andy slo mo call.
Js-5d-7d
Andy bets, Ted raises. And is about to reraise – but then he folds.
It’s $4M – Ted’s got it all back.
Is this how it ends?
Andy has them on the ropes at the beginning, then Ted is down for the count and he fights his way back, then pummels Andy. Then Beal bravely fights back. And somehow, Ted gets it all back.

Is Andy getting desperate? Next hand, his button, he just checks.
Now I “feel” he is tired. He spent a long time thinking, maybe of making a move, then folding.
His slow motion calls seem to take an eternity to make it to the pot.
Ted raises his button, Andy folds.

Is this a time of Andy’s long, slow decline? Out of energy and enthusiasm but in too deep to quit, Ted can just chip away. His is raising almost every button. He doesn’t need knockouts now.
Another $800k pot for Ted
T-9 with 9 on turn, K on river
What’s Andy calling with?
3:50 PM – Ted +$5.6M
The slow decline isn’t even that slow. Mistakes – any kind – are expensive if Andy’s not on his game. He “feels” exhausted.
The match
-Andy poised to deliver a knockout punch (pros-concerned)
-Andy dominated early, punishing Ted for playing him on a short bankroll
-But Ted – somehow different than every other time I’ve seen him –
Hung in, erased the deficit, and regained control. He got a lead and just crushed Andy.
-But Andy didn’t give up. He fought back and somehow, down several million dollars today, took the initiative from Ted. He knocked the $4M deficit down to $1.25M.
-But Andy ran out of gas. Ted rebuilt his lead and even extended it.
3:55 PM – Andy -$5.5M
Ted Forrest is the man to count on when the chips are down.
Ted wins $900k on runner-runner straight.
5-7 with 2-3-6 on flop, then 8 then 9
He’s got Andy down nearly $6M.
I think Ted knows something. When Andy double-clutches his chips, he doesn’t have anything. That hesitation.
