NOW IT’S $7M
In a narrow sense, Andy looks fine – solid, still, unemotional.
But up close, he’s a mess. Ragged in motions with his hands, his chips. And Ted’s probably picking up on it, betting along with Andy, or betting him out of hand after hand.

Geez, he finally put a stop to Forest speeding mercilessly over him.

Andy’s bouncing his chips up and down between hands. He’s not right. It’s not a close question.
4:31 PM – Andy’s down about $5.8M. Won a decent-sized pot.
He’s looking at his cards with 3 clubs after the turn to see if he has one.
Andy picks up chips – looks at them sideways. I thought that meant weakness but he had a straight when he did that. $600k pot.
4:34 PM – Dealer change
-$5.7M for Andy
(Still up for the 3 days.)
He’s picking up some cards, some flops. Ted’s not giving him huge pots but he’s slowly reduced the deficit … a little.
Andy – $5.5M
-$5.8 or 5.9 at 4:38 PM

During the break, Andy tells Deborah [Giardina, Director of Poker Operations for Wynn Las Vegas], “I’m stupid. I’m so stupid. I am the most stupid person in the world and you can quote me on that.”
5:24 PM – Andy’s still -$5M.
Andy said during the last break that he was on an adrenaline rush and he’d play until it ended.
Just won a big pot.
A-9 with A-A-9 flop, then 5-5
Ted looked flabbergasted when Andy turned it over.
Andy -$4.6M at 5:26 PM
There couldn’t possibly be another miracle in Andy Beal’s Burberry bag, could there?
[I used up the pen I’d been using all day and had to switch to another.]
I’ve been gone getting Ted a Valentine’s Day card for Roxana. [I wrote about this in the February 2007 issue of BLUFF.]
Back at 5:38 PM
Andy -$4.6M.
Ted raises – Andy x3
Kc-Ts-4s
Andy bets, fold
Andy $300k
NOW -$4.6M
Ted was very appreciative – blushing when Andy asked him if I did that [the Valentine’s card] for him. I said, “I take and I take and I take. But sometimes I give. You told me about the Mangler [an opponent of Ted’s in several private games whose identity and exploits I have, for the time being, been asked not to write about], I got you a card for Roxana.”
Ted is betting Ted out of these threatening boards, winning $500-600k pots without a showdown. [I’m sure one of those “Ted”s should be “Andy” but I’m not sure which.]
Andy -$4.25M

Andy has been relentlessly aggressive in getting the goods, the luck, or the fold. He’s been accelerating.
(At 4:12 PM, it was $7M)
Now it’s $3.6M at 5:48 PM
At 3.6M what are we talking?
-3.2M last week
+6.2M last 2 days
-3.6M today
=-600k for entire 2 trips
Has Andy stalled or is he still on a rush?

After winning a big pot Ted Forrest style.

(Ted had A-5)
Now Ted’s the one looking a little beat-up
Andy -$3.25M
6:01 PM I just can’t see Andy making another big comeback FROM HERE, but for it to happen, he’ll have to win the biggest pot they’ve played.
6:02 PM – deck and dealer change.
Andy – couple hours ago – something to prove. “Something to prove TO MYSELF.”
