#111 - Coming Soon, to a Bellagio Near You
Sorry for not completing my Prisoner of the Bellagio series and, for those of persevered, for finding the blog amid some troubles that Full Tilt is trying to work out. I’ve gotten derailed by a couple other writing commitments, taxes, and online poker. But I’m about to kick it into gear.
Taxes: For six years, I was miserable that I didn’t make any money. Last year I made money, detected no general increase in happiness, and am now miserable at tax time. What gives?
I’m finishing up my work for the June issue of BLUFF, the World Series preview issue. Then I’m driving to Las Vegas on Thursday where I’m going to help Ted Forrest purchase a car. (”Help me find one with a good air condition.” That was his main condition.) On Friday, I’m playing in Jennifer Harman’s charity poker tournament. Even without playing in the event, you can donate. All the money is going to the Nevada SPCA, to promote no-kill animal shelters. Then on Saturday I’ll cover the first day of the WPT Championship at the Bellagio and let you know what all my friends in poker are up to.
So here is what I THINK the next four entries will be (though not necessarily in this order):
A. The conclusion of Prisoner of the Bellagio.
B. Taken for a Ride with Ted Forrest.
C. Jennifer Harman’s Pet Cause.
D. The WPT Championship.
I’ll try to get it all done pretty quickly, too, though promising it doesn’t cost anything.
