#116 - Fool in Paradise, Part V - Picture Perfect
While we were waiting for Jennifer Harman’s tournament to start at Caesars, there was plenty of time for milling around. Katie Lindsay gave her camera to someone, who took a picture of me, Katie, and Shannon Elizabeth.

I talked with Shannon for a few minutes. It sounded like she was going to play in the WPT Championship only if she won a satellite. She bubbled on Thursday night and was concerned her next chance would be the 10 PM satellite, which would go until 5 or 6 AM. (I looked in on the Fontana Bar at about 1 AM. Shannon wasn’t there.)
Carrot Top played in this event. Why didn’t someone ever tell me this guy was pumped up like Rambo? Wasn’t Carrot Top that skinny little guy on the phone commercials? This Carrot Top was wearing a denim jacket as a shirt with the sleeves cut off and I think he oiled up for the event. The need for glistening biceps at a poker tournament is beyond me, but he had ‘em.
Caesars unveiled 23 large framed photos of World Series Champions in its tournament area. Most of them were present. The ceremony was nothing special but it was pretty cool. Poker has ridiculously little regard for its history.
