It’s now Tuesday, July 3, 1:45 PM. I am playing the final table of the SHOE in 75 minutes. Because of the bizarro playing schedule (3 PM-3 AM the last couple days), I’ve taken a bunch of notes but haven’t been able to write anything. This is my last playing appearance – PROMISE! – until I play the Main Event on Monday so I should have time to catch up.

Thanks for all the good wishes and congratulations e-mails and calls. I appreciate that so many people are watching and rooting. Phil Gordon was nice enough to say “I offically hate you.” Annie Duke declared her love – okay, you have to read between the lines – in a text message: “Fuckin sicko. congrats.”

I’m pleased that I’m getting such good results but not that I’m playing well. Seriously, I spent over a year getting a dozen of the world’s best poker players to teach me to play tournament poker. I SHOULD play well. There’s a difference between playing well and getting great results, but all we can ever do is play well. I’m so happy the results are following, and that it shines some light on the STRATEGY GUIDE. Even if I hadn’t made these two final tables in the last week, I’d be telling everyone that this is dynamite information about how to play tournament poker.

A lot more people are listening now.

I’ll report back after, and I have a couple long entries about the previous few days that are mostly written; those posts will soon follow.
