#249J – London Journal #15J – Million Dollar Cash Game #10 – “Ivey’s in for Another Two Hundred”

That’s what Uncle Tilty told me after a big pot between Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius at about 8:30 PM.
The way these guys are playing, the pots are getting really big at the end. That’s high-level poker but it’s so dangerous. There was about $15,000 in the pot on the turn and the board looked like this:
Qs-9c-Ac-As
Phil bet $15,000, Patrik called.
The river was the four of hearts. Ivey bet $40,000. Antonius moved all-in for about $60,000 more. Ivey thought it over, but not for as long as he did with Tony G earlier, and called. Patrik showed A-4 for a full house and Ivey mucked.
He bought in for another $200,000, which puts his total buy-in just $5,000 (the amount of my tournament bankroll for WSOP-E, which seemed like a huge amount of money to me) short of $500,000.
And those chips are going to get into play SOON.
