andy.jpgOn the second to last hand before the 9:30 PM break, Andy Bloch and Tony G got into it.

There were a few limpers and Chris Ferguson raised from the big blind. Tony G and Andy Bloch called. The flop came

Ts-9h-4h.

Ferguson and Bloch checked and Tony bet $5,000. Andy moved in the rest of his chips, about $55,000. Chris folded and Tony G went into the tank …Tony G style.

As the camera focused on him contemplating his decision, he blew his nose into a bright blue napkin. “I’ve got pocket fives,” he explained. “You have a flush draw and a small card …. I should call …. Take it.”

Tony G asked Andy to show and Andy flashed one card, the eight of hearts.

So what did Andy have? A better hand? A strong draw? A bluff? You can find out when it appears on European television in several months, or you can listen to Jeremiah Smith’s interview with Andy during the break by clicking HERE.

They have restarted play and they’ll be playing another hour. Here are the chip counts at the break:

Tony G $408,400
Allen Cunningham $63,400
Andy Bloch $70,900
Chris Ferguson $100,300
Phil Ivey $201,200
Patrik Antonius $298,800
Brian Townsend $177,000
