Roland de Wolfe has arrived at about 3:40 PM and asked me for a summary of the action so far. I was tempted to read him every word of the 19 blogs I have posted since Tuesday afternoon but resisted. Jeremiah Smith conducted a short interview with him, pointing out that at least a couple players appear excited that he has shown up. To listen to that interview, click HERE (turn your speakers up because they were on the set so they had to whisper).

And Tony G and Brian Townsend continue to mix it up (but not in any pots).

Tony started talking about “getting a market up” to bet on the outcome. “I’ll be a 10-to-1 dog online.” After he repeated that several times, I knew where he was going.

“Brian, you’ll give me some kind of price, right?”

Brian: “Now you want a price?”

“We’ll put a market up. We need a market.”

Tony was asking Howard about whether that game could be put together by Full Tilt, and Howard explained how it could. “So we basically have a contract.”

We’ll see ….

Meanwhile, Allen Cunningham won $44,000 on a pot from Brian Townsend during one of those rare moments when Tony G wasn’t baiting him or waffling. Allen had raised Brian (who had limped) before the flop and checked the turn. Townsend tried to pick it up by betting $12,000 on the river. Allen quickly called.

“King,” Brian called.

Cunningham showed pocket aces. Andy Bloch had the perfect commentary: “Either of your cards would have taken that one.”

It’s 3:55 PM and we’re on a meal break until 5 PM. (What meal do they eat at 4 PM?) I’ll get a chip count when we restart because I think security requires that we hit the bricks until 5.
