Either I’m exactly right about everything I supposed about Tom Dwan, or I’m wrong about everything. He just doubled up on Patrik Antonius, with a giant river bet that Patrik called.

Tom’s playing more hands than anyone today and the only hand I heard him not play super-strong was queens preflop. In a pot with Patrik on a board of 5-K-4-5, Dwan bet $10,000 and Patrik called. The pot wasn’t huge at this point, under $40,000.

The river was another three. Patrik checked and Dwan moved all-in, about $80-$90k more. Before Tom moved in, he thought about it a very long time, way longer than he’d ever have to think about a hand online. Antonius took five minutes and finally called, with top pair, K-J, for kings and fives.

Dwan showed 5-3 for a full house. He’s now got somewhere between $230-$250k. He’s still stuck about $200k, but the ups and downs of the day haven’t taken any of the action out of him, or injured his balls in any way, which have been predictably large.
