You’ve made the Final Table of the Main Event of the 2008 World Series of Poker. Congratulations!
But don’t rest on your laurels. You’ve made $900k but there’s up to $8.1 million more on the table. With almost four months between making the final table and playing it out, you have an unprecedented opportunity to improve your chances.
What would you do? Who would you engage? To what end? For what compensation?
That’s the contest; here are the rules:

Part I - Craig Marquis
Michael,
Considering I was Craig M. and knowing that I only have 10.2 million chips, with everyone else with more chips I would play it slowly. Depending on where I was at the table, BB / SB sitting to my left, I might take more chances considering how everyone else played. The only time I would go into the pot with anything less then A/Q (or worse to begin) is if everyone check, noone raised, then I might play aggresively early, raising the pot even if I didnt have a decent hand. The closer the blinds got to my right, the more conservative I would play. If I had face pockets, i might play like I had A/A early, and depending on the flop, that I had high pair if less then 3 people are in the game at this point.
Part II - Kelly Kim
Michael,
At this point I am down on my luck. If I have big blind, and say only 2 people call, or even raise I am out without a face card pocket. If we only get a few calls, even if I didnt have a good hand I would call. If I get even a two of a kind off the flop I am all in, if not, I am checking or folding. Even if the next card doesnt give me a high two of a kind I am out. I would be more worried about the other two people playing eachother then I am of them playing me. At this point I am just a distraction knowing even if I did double up, I will have to play the same way I am playing this hand twice up in order to be considered. At this point I might do my best to try to make a face or two, grunt, noise whatever to throw off other people at the table and make them think I have a hand, or dont.. Whatever works for me. ALL IN BABY

In Kelly Kim’s position you have 10 times the big blind but you could also so with picking up the antes as they will be eating into your stack. You can’t slow play a hand as you don’t have enough chips and tightening up is not an option. I would push all my chips in with a premium hand or a strong drawing hand (J 10, 9-8, 8-7) hoping to double up and end the hand with $5.5 million in chips
