#763 – 2009 WSOP #21 – Daily Tilt #11 – Monday, June 8, AM Edition

Posted by Michael Craig

There is just one new event today, $2,500 NLHE 6-handed, but a lot of action worth watching in the ongoing events. Svetlana Gromenkova, last year’s Ladies Champion, is second in chips entering Day 2 of that event, and John Juanda is 3rd in chips at the final table of the $1,500 Stud. David Pham, like Juanda, is stalking his fifth bracelet, and he has a lot of chips in the $5,000 NLHE. But he’s also got to contend with a pair of Full Tilt’s CardRunner.com pros, chip leader Isaac Baron and short-stack David Benefield.

I’ve calculated upon my return to Las Vegas that I’m 14 blogs behind so rather than follow the action, I’ll be spending most of my day trying to catch up. (OK, curiousity will probably get me to the Amazon Room at some point ….)

Full Tilt pros in the money:

 9. Roland de Wolfe $25,824

CHIP COUNTS

All counts are courtesy of the World Series of Poker. Transcription errors are mine and, though I’ll do my best to keep an updated list of who at the Series is affiliated with Full Tilt, apologies for misattribution. I will attempt immediately to correct any errors brought to my attention (mrchaotic@aol.com).

Note: Svetlana Gromenkova won this event last year and has put herself in excellent position to make a serious bid for back-to-back bracelets … A few days ago, someone who had no business being in the Undisclosed Location was wandering around, making a pest of themself. Naturally, they were bothering me, making inquiries about bothering other people. “Is that Karina Jett over there?” the Pest asked me, pointing to Karina, about ten feet away, who was in conversation. “No,” I said, without looking up. “Really? It looks just like her.” “Yeah, well … she gets that a lot.”
