Nick Schulman became the third Full Tilt pro to win a bracelet in the 2009 World Series of Poker when he took down the $10,000 No-Limit Deuce-to-Seven World Championship.
My quest for not only my first bracelet but to end my interminable cashless streak at the WSOP ended in ignominy yesterday, just short of the money in the $2,500 OEOB/SEOB. But that gives me more time today to catch up on writing and … play poker online.

10. Roland De Wolfe $19,871
Notes: Runner-up was Ville Wahlbeck, who has cashed in four $10,000-events, including three final tables and one bracelet … On the final hand, after both players took one card, Wahlbeck bluffed all-in, holding a pair of nines. Nick looked down at 7-5-4-3-2, the nuts … John Juanda, seeking his fifth bracelet, finished fourth … Roland De Wolfe, fighting for most of Day 2 on a short stack, busted out in 10th.

I will attempt immediately to correct any errors brought to my attention (mrchaotic@aol.com).

Full Tilt pros in the money:
23. Gavin Smith $6,434
30. Greg Mascio $5,197
32. Chau Giang $5,197
Notes: I rebounded from a very short stack, only to lose two big pots to Jon Turner when all my draws failed, to finish eight spots short of the money. But I’m rooting for Jon and Steve Wong, both of whom won most of the chips I managed to accumulate in the tournament. I can only imagine that Phil Ivey is blaming his low chip position on never getting me at his table.

Notes: Pot-Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better, I think, was invented for the internet for players who don’t find that old-school PLO doesn’t have enough gamblin’. Apparently, it is also becoming popular in Europe … Phil Ivey is trying to multi-table, making the final two tables of the OEOB/SEOB and Day 2 of the PLOEOB.
