According to a release from WSOP Media Director Nolan Dalla, “Late this evening, Cernuto called the WSOP Media Relations Team. He wishes to inform the poker community that he is now feeling much better, but will remain hospitalized for at least another day or two, while tests are conducted. He also wishes to make it clear he did not suffer a heart attack, as was initially rumored.”

Event #43 – $1,000 Senior NLHE Championship

Prize Pool: $724,500
Places Paid: 32
Remaining: 13
Chip leader: Jeff Lisandro 438,000
9. Michael Craig 102,000
Notes: Typical Day 2 of Razz, with penalties, players asking for one more scramble, a close call involving the paramedics, and at least one player declaring, “They should make prisoners play Razz.” … John Juanda finished on the bubble, which apparently has significant implications for various prop bets, based on howls throughout the Brasilia Room … I’ll say it right now. I don’t think Jeff Lisandro can be stopped.
Full Tilt pros in the money:
20. Matt Hawrilenko $6,085
28. David Chiu $4,745
Event #45 – $10,000 PLHE World Championship

Event #46 – $2,500 OEOB
End of Day 1
Starters: 424
Prize Pool: $975,200
Places Paid: 45
Remaining: 196
Chip leader: Joshua Schlein 60,700
18. John Juanda 32,700
26. Lee Watkinson 27,900
32. Jordan Morgan 26,100
40. Steve Wong 24,300
60. Perry Friedman 21,500
118. Mike Matusow 11,200
191. Jeff Madsen 1,600
DNR. Rob Hollink
Notes: Thang Luu is second in chips. Thang has won bracelets in OEOB the last two years and finished runner-up in OEOB the year before that. But Mike Matusow told me after, “he plays terrible.” … Nice rebound by Juanda from the bubble in #44 … Annie Duke has 3,400 chips. Or, if we had spoken about it last night, “thirty-four-fucking-hundred.” … I loaned Chris Ferguson $1,000 so he could enter three events at once: Day 2 of the Razz, Day 1 of the PLHE Championship, and Day 1 of the OEOB. It’s too bad he didn’t cash in any of them, but I think he’s still good for the dime … His brother Marc is still swinging away in OEOB.

June 24th, 2009 at 12:57 pmMike, GL in the Razz today!!!! I wish there was a way you could post the cashes in an OPR type way where it shows the profit/ROI of the players from Full Tilt in the WSOP events…..I’d like an interesting blog about how bad the WSOP could be for players running/playing bad and how brutal it can be on their bank rolls. GL Mike!
