In From The Cold
Posted by The All-In-Uit | Filed under Bloggers Corner
When my fellow Poker From the Rail bloggers were trying to encourage me to write my first post (under the guise of lessening their workload) one of the things they said to nudge me along was that it would be nice to have “a different point of view”.
This got me thinking – just because I’m a girl, is my view of the poker world really that at odds with my fellow bloggers? Of course men and women are different – I obviously don’t use those “differences” to type but God, it would be fun to try and I’d probably get a mention on Wicked Chops…. Anyways I digress…

Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in giving a warm welcome to our new blogger - The All-In-Uit. The bosses decided we had a little too much testosterone flowing through these pages, so here comes a much needed estrogen injection. This sassy lass is here to kick ass and take names; watch out world, she’s ready for some action. Without further ado, I give you The All-In-Uit…
Heads Up: John Juanda Versus Lynette Chan
Posted by One Angry Monkey | Filed under Heads Up
Who else is super pumped up for this one? I’m so excited that I can barely contain myself. Really – I am. This week’s edition of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge features our third 2 versus 15 match up as John “It’s probably a good thing I stopped selling Bibles door-to-door” Juanda takes on Lynette “At least I have my good looks to fall back on” Chan. My gut is telling me this one might be a blow out, but stranger things have happened. On to the madness and mayhem:

The Pros Speak: Aaron Bartley
Posted by The Captain | Filed under The Pros Speak
Aaron Bartley recently distinguished himself from scores of poker pros through his uncanny awareness of brilliance. He is the first – and probably only – pro that has not only noticed our blog, but has actually read it. In fact, he went so far as to email us and share his thoughts on Poker From The Rail. As men of integrity, we’re well above sharing such precise and insightful commentaries on our journalistic and literary genius. Let it suffice to say that he recognized us as “pretty cool” and “having a good time.”

The Week at FTP: LOL CardRunnerments
Posted by Big Donkey | Filed under The Week at FTP
In the absence of one of our red pros winning a legitimate live donkament this week*, we’ve had to dig deep to find some news that’s up to the standards you, our loyal reader, have come to expect. So after five minutes of reading NVG and seeing what promotions we can pass off as informational tidbits, we bring you the week at FTP.

By now, everyone’s heard or read about Jonathan Little’s departure from Full Tilt Poker. While this is news, it’s interesting to read some of the threads that have spun out of it on the various forums – they cover the full spectrum. Some people have e-voiced that they are disgusted with him and that he’s a scumbag for what he did, while others state that he’s a “good guy” and was somehow a victim.
I’ve never met Jon, and I really don’t have a strong opinion about him as a person. That said, the guy did something blatantly out of line with his contract, got pinched for it, and then got booted. He’s even admitted to this in a blog post:

Heads Up: Phil Gordon Versus Kristy Gazes
Posted by One Angry Monkey | Filed under Heads Up
Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge. This week we have another 2 versus 15 match-up as Phil “If I have to announce another stupid celebrity poker tournament I’m going to kill myself” Gordon takes on Kristy “My ex-husband can’t kick a football” Gazes. After our first big upset in the challenge last week the only question is, will history repeat itself? Only time will tell. And me. Because I write these and get to decide…
At any rate, you can check out the full bracket below. On to the match:

The Pros Speak: Jared Hamby
Posted by The Captain | Filed under The Pros Speak
Over the past couple of years, Jared Hamby’s made quite a name for himself. While he started off as an online player, he’s clearly demonstrated that he’s got what it takes to compete on the live tournament circuit as well. Jared’s made respectable showings that include two WSOP and four WPT cash finishes. So far, he’s amassed well over $1.3 million in career tournament earnings, and it looks like he’s just getting started.
Between going to and from the casinos and taking down online tournaments, Jared was good enough to answer a few questions for us. Here’s what he had to say:
