One Angry Monkey One Angry Monkey

Good day Tilt-Land, it’s been a long while since I’ve written a post. With so much going on these days at Full Tilt Poker, the powers that be decided to let me out of my cage for a few minutes to tell everybody what’s happening.

First off, our website has been redesigned! We’ve given the site a major face lift so it has a sleek new look and feel. Go to www.fulltiltpoker.com and check it out for yourselves.

We’ve also just completed a major software upgrade. New features include ante ring-game tables for players craving bigger pots and more action, ring-game lobby icons so it’s easier to find your favorite games and synchronized tournament breaks so people who play in more than one MTT at a time can take a five minute break at least once an hour (or, as we like to call it, “the bladder saver”).

Along with these new features, this release will include network communication improvements. Basically, we’ve changed the way the game talks to your computer so the Full Tilt Poker software runs much more smoothly. If you’ve ever had problems switching back and forth between the Hold ‘em and Omaha lobbies or opening a big tournament lobby like the $200K Double Deuce, you won’t see any lag from now on.

For even faster performance, check out the Full Tilt Poker beta software. The beta software requires less CPU Usage, so it runs silky smooth on your computer. Keep in mind that it’s a beta version; the usual beta cautions apply and there’s a small chance you’ll run into a few bugs when you use this software.

And finally, here’s a quick rundown of some promotions running on the site right now:
•    FTOPS XII is coming up in May, and this time around we’ve added a MiniFTOPS for low-stakes players so they can join the action at 1/10th of the buy-in; satellites for both FTOPS and MiniFTOPS are running right now
•    You can win your way to Las Vegas for the Big Dance by playing in any of our Series 2009 qualifiers; there’s a variety of ways to win your seats, including daily cash qualifiers, shootout tournaments, the mega-huge 150 Seat Guarantee and the 100 Seat Giveaway, where you can win your seat for free
•    This week’s Friday Night Fights Main Event pits part-time Harvard prof Brandon Adams versus freshly minted Team CardRunners pro Haseeb Qureshi (aka INTERNETPOKERS) in a battle of wits; rail the heads-up match while you play in a sweat tourney and/or the Friday Night Fight $500 Knockout

That’s all for now folks. I’m hoping to be let out of my cage a little more often from now on, so for the three people who actually enjoy reading One Angry Monkey posts, you’ll have a little more joy in your life…
