Event #24, the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em tournament, lived up to it’s reputation.  2,506 players entered the tournament and just 270 survived the ten levels of Day 1.  That averages out to just under 2 players busting out every 60 seconds of the tournament.  They were leaving almost as quickly as they came.  Those remaining players will return for Day 2 and attempt to play down to their final table.  If history has taught us anything this year, they will most likely play til the 3am cutoff with 3 or 4 tables to play.

In blogger news, CK31 ran well all day and goes into Day 2 of the $2,500 Omaha-Stud/8 tournament sitting comfortably in the top third of the chip counts and above average chipstack.  376 players entered the event and 153 will come back trying to make the money, final table, and a bracelet.  Another loaded tournament with plenty of big names near the top including Allie Prescott, Jon “Pearljammed” Turner, Phil Ivey, Chau Giang and Toto Leonidas.

Two Full Tilt pros ended the day with another chance to add to the bracelet count in the $10,000 World Championship of Deuce to Seven Draw.  Both John Juanda and Roland De Wolfe halted play at the 3am cutoff before forming the final table 7.  2008 champ Mike Matusow was unable to fight his way through the tough field and defend his title.

In crazy railbird news, a gentleman has begun walking the hallways in full American Indian headdress gear trying to make time with the Sapphire bikini girls.  He doesn’t seem to be making much progress and I have yet to see him sit down to a poker table.  I’m also waiting for someone to be offended and beat the tar out of him.
