Full Tilter Phil Ivey is sure to get major TV time as this is when he really begins to put his foot on the gas pedal pushing his way toward the top of the field.  You’ll also see unknown Darvin Moon go on his big heater, he will end the next three days as the Main Event chip leader. Friend (of a friend of a friend) of the blog Tom “Donkey Bomber” Schneider will also see plenty of time, although he must be a little chafed at Norm Chad saying he isn’t a NLHE player. James Akenhead will also begin to separate himself from the remaining players but we will see Vitaly Lunkin hit the rail.

By all accounts, the Russian member of Team Full Tilt had a very successful summer campaign. The Main Event was his 5th cash in the series, making 3 final tables and taking down the $40,000 40th Anniversary NLHE tournament for his second WSOP bracelet. He finished second in the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha and fourth in the $50,000 HORSE Championship. He finished third in the 2009 Player of the Year chase behind Ville Wahlbeck and 3-time bracelet winner Jeff Lisandro. Those three final table alone added over $2,500,000 to his bankroll.

Nick Schulman will also be eliminated before the end of Day 5, Schulman won his first WSOP bracelet in 2009 in the No Limit Deuce to Seven World Championship. There are very few “easy” final tables during any WSOP event but he was looking at a hall of fame class lineup. Ville Wahlbeck (2nd in 2009 POY race), Michael Binger, John Juanda, Steve Sung, David Benyamine, and world class gambler Archie Karas when they made the decision to play 8-handed.

Keep an eye out for the other members of Team Full Tilt who will eventually make the November Nine. Steven Begleiter, James Akenhead and Eric Buchman will all be sporting the red and white of Full Tilt.  Other names which you will see throughout the broadcast should be David Benyamine, Fabrice Soulier, Kenny Tran, Blair Hinkle, Jordan Morgan, and Joe Sebok.

You can check out my “live blogging” attempt during the final days of the Main Event.
