Big Money Sunday – November 30th

The last Big Money Sunday of November is in the books and we had another player shooting for a unique back-to-back.

The Sunday Mulligan seemed to be the final table to watch with several big online players making a run but “drunk mashimaro” had a chance to really make some noise. He was the defending champion after taking down last week’s Mulligan and was coming off a $16k payday by winning the $65k Guarantee just 24 hours before.

Along with “drunk mashimaro” at the Sunday Mulligan final table, we also had Jameson “The Drake” Singer who had a pretty nice Saturday when he took down both the Big Double A and Big Double B tournaments and Derek “DownTheStreetD” Lerner has a bunch of big cashes including a 6th place finish in the same $65k won by “drunk mashimaro”. Unfortunately he couldn’t pull off the back-to-back Mulligan wins when he lost the chiplead and title headsup to John “SkewpTroop” Clancy.

The 4 big guarantee tournaments on Sunday generated a prizepool of $1,534,200 and nearly 14,000 players. The $100k Double Deuce continues it’s impressive debut by selling out all 7,000 seats well before kickoff again and sported a long waiting list. The action in the small buyin / big payout tournament seemed to be a little slower this week but the play was still borderline insane (trust me when I say that I’m being very generous).

One of these Sundays I will take a break from watching from the rail and jump in the game. In my opinion, it might be the softest big guarantee tournament around. Get on the signup list early. Honorable mention to tournament killing blogger pvanharibo who was near the chiplead for most of the tournament until she ran into a series of coolers and beats. She finished up 21st.
