Blogger Week in Review

It was a fun week in blogger land with one insane rebuy tournament and plenty of action and great posts to waste take away from your valuable work time. There are also some good blogger-hosted events to get in on this week.

What happened last week?

Thursday evening was one of the crazier blogger hosted tournaments ever held. Blogger NumbBono hosted the perfect tournament to take out your vengeance for all those bad beats the entire week and do a whole lot of pushing. It was a 10cent rebuy tournament that drew 99 insane players who generated a silly 4,417 rebuys during the first hour. The micro-buyin tournament had so many chips in play that the game lasted nearly 6 hours. I couldn’t tell you who won but player NutzCarson lead the pack with 132 rebuys (your humble author came up short with only 114 during that period). I don’t imagine these games will become a regular occurrence but they are worth the time if you see one scheduled.

Last Wednesday I ran a classic blogger post from legend HDub using the wisdom of The Big Lebowski in the poker realm. By far two of my favorite posts since I began writing and reading blogs.

Be sure to check to out the schedule for FTOPS X which runs from November 5th to the 16th. The blogger world is already hitting up the satellites to prepare for the tournament series.

LasVegasVegas.com posted the details of the WSoP Final Table, the November Nine, where they’ll play down to the final two on November 9th with the HeadsUp match taking place on the morning of November 10th. FlipChip also has some of the best WSoP photography around.

What’s happening this week?

There will be a lull in the action this week as everyone begins gearing up for FTOPS X and making plans to watch the WSoP Final Table action. There are three private tournament to catch if you can. You should never miss the weekly Mookie game if at all possible. We will be hosting the inaugural Poker From the Rail freeroll on Saturday.

The big prize for the week will be during the Sunday Brit Blogger game. Poker From the Rail will be adding a seat to FTOPS Event #7 to the prizepool.
