Antonius Gordon video Patrik Antonius discusses Isildur1Patrik Antonius/Phil Gordon discuss Isildur1" width="500" />

The monster cash game sessions have slowed down over the last week with the general belief that Swedish wunderkind Isildur1 has finally gone busto. It was a 3 month run above anything the online poker world has ever seen and looks like we won’t see anything similar until he finds the funds to reload or someone else pops up on the scene. Brian Townsend and Cole South were the unlikely final two players to step up and relieve him of his bankroll.

The timing is interesting as we’ve seen Tom “durrrr” Dwan drop down in stakes to rebuild and the release of two videos on the Full Tilt Poker Academy with Patrik Antonius. Both speak to how big time players handle the swings.

The first video is Phil Gordon and Antonius discussing the emergence of Isildur1. His skill, ability to change gears and mix everything up. How Isilidur1 is able to multi-table different games against different players at the same time. The head scratching levels of play and what piece proper bankroll management plays into decisions. Keeping in mind this video was recorded and released BEFORE Isildur1 went bust.

The second video is Gordon and Antonius go over the thought process in three separate hands including the largest pot in online poker history. Imagine the reaction when your computer freezes during the biggest hand in online poker history. Even the coolest person will react to that scenario. All three hands are an interesting peak into the mind of someone playing well over the skill level of your average grinder.

45 minutes worth of great video, click the links below and enjoy.
