You’ve had a tough week at the office, the kids are driving you nuts, or maybe none of that is true. You can use any excuse available to justify a little personal time hitting the tables at Full Tilt. There are plenty of chances to hit up the big games online this weekend or you can hit up the small ball games while railing your favorite pros.
Full Tilt Poker started a new promotion which is running at the moment. Take 2 is running now through April 10th where you have a chance to earn double points as well as cash bonuses. All for playing multiples cash game tables which you are probably doing already. Click on the link above to get the full details.
There are big guarantee tournaments running all weekend long starting this evening as well as some special blogger games. Some of the tournaments highlighted after the jump.
Friday night kicks off the festivities with the new Friday Night Fights. A $500 Knockout Tournament at 21:00ET as well as a Full Tilt pro high stakes Heads-up match. The next pro “fight” is scheduled for next Friday and it will be Eli Elezra vs Chau Giang (remember you read it here first!). The KO tournament has a $75,000 guarantee prizepool.
The big time continues with Big Money Sunday and four of the biggest online tournaments in existence. The Sunday Brawl (14:00ET, $350,000 guarantee), the $750k Guarantee (18:00ET) and the Sunday Mulligan (19:05ET, $200,000 guarantee) are the staples of the Sunday night tournaments. I include the newest monster game in my Sunday list also. The $200k Double Deuce is a $20+2 buyin tournament that regularly draws well over 10,000 players at 16:22ET. A huge prizepool for a small buyin with satellites constantly running.
There are three special blogger games running this weekend as well.
Friday night we will be celebrating one of my favorite blogger tournaments of all time, the Friday Night Blogger Donkament. It’s a silly $1 rebuy tournament where players try to set the record for most rebuys in an hour, it’s an excuse to donk away as quickly as possible to erase some of the pressure after serious grinding during the week. Katitude is our hostess and she’ll be neck deep in martinis throughout.
Sunday brings two blogger tournaments, one small buyin, one a little bigger.
The weekly Brit Blogger game kicks off on Sunday at 16:00ET and is part of the Battle of the Blogger Tournaments series. For a $5 buyin you have your first shot at winning a WSoP seat and tons of low-limit donkey fun.
The Bad Bankroll Management Tournaments is something new and strange all together. Blogger (and occasional guest writer here at Poker From the Rail) Julius_Goat throws an event every few weeks who’s sole purpose is to find players willing to throw good money away. The $50+ buyin tournament has no money added, no points awarded, and player chat comments that will shame the thin-skinned. Play at your own risk but it’s a ton of fun.
If you are not playing in one of the big guarantee tournaments or the blogger events there are still a couple of big time challenge going on that you can rail while playing your other games.
The durrrr Challenge continues to cruise along. You can always track their action at the durrrr Challenge stats tracker and follow along as Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Patrik Antonius battle it out over 4 Heads-up tables.
“SNG Nick” Rainey also continues towards his goal of playing in 16,000 Sit n Go’s over 31 days with a $10,000 profit. He’s playing nearly non-stop so you can find him most time of the day by searching for his player name, Stinko_Mikko.
I would also suggest hitting up the new Full Tilt Poker Academy for the free sessions, lessons and challenges. I’m currently working on my second challenge, the Chris Ferguson Bankroll Management challenge.
Good luck at the tables and have a good weekend.
