The likelihood of Mike Matusow running naked down Las Vegas Boulevard is now positively correlated with gender equality.
On Wednesday night’s episode of Poker2Nite, Mike Matusow promised to run naked down The Strip if three women win bracelets at the 2010 World Series of Poker. The poker show’s co-host Scott Huff appeared to be fishing for an inflammatory statement: he prefaced a question about female poker players with, “it’s always great to have you here because…you don’t hold anything back.”
Referring to wins by Vanessa Selbst at the NAPT Mohegan Sun, Annie Duke at the NBC National Heads up Championship, and Liv Boeree at the EPT San Remo, Huff asked Matusow, “Is it the year of the woman, and what is your over/under on bracelets in this World Series won by female poker players?”

“I’m having my first hot dog since the bet this Sunday on Mother’s Day.”
- Jim “Hot Dog” Harrison
As of now, that quote constitutes the final post of FoundInFlood – aka Jim “Hot Dog” Harrison – in the truly epic Two Plus Two thread: Hot dog prop bet – april 1st to 30th.
If you’re unfamiliar with the bet, check out the summary of the hot dog prop bet and an interview with Hot Dog Harrison.
Jim needed to eat 48 hot dogs in the last two days to win. Bets (on both sides of the outcome) were still being offered on April 30…

In March, a Canadian academic wagered a colleague he could eat 450 hot dogs in the month of April. The prop bet was posted in the Beats, Brags, and Variance forum on Two Plus Two and has received 1,298 replies and 90,798 views as of press time. We picked up the hot dog bet here at Poker from the Rail, as did a Toronto radio station.
Hero — Jim “Hot Dog” Harrison — kindly took a few moments between dogs to answer some questions regarding the bet.

Some recent updates in recurring stories:
Barney Frank’s hearing to discuss a rational approach to online gambling in the US has been postponed (and not yet rescheduled). The House Financial Services Committee, which Frank chairs, was set to debate HR 2266 and HR 2267 on April 16. The former bill would delay implementation of the UIGEA, and the latter would legalize and regulate online gambling in the United States. PokerNewsDaily has the full story.
A British poker player accused of killing his American wife has been approved by a district judge for extradition. Marcus Bebb-Jones allegedly killed his wife in Colorado in September 1997 and went to Las Vegas for a “playboy weekend” where he somehow managed to shoot himself in the head without causing life-threatening injuries. Then he moved back to England and became a poker pro. He was finally arrested in England last year and has been fighting extradition, arguing that he might face the death penalty in the US. He will be extradited to Colorado if the British Home Secretary signs off on the district judge’s decision.
In more lighthearted news, Hot Dog Harrison, a Canadian college student who prop bet his friend that he could eat 450 hot dogs in April (all live via webcam) is falling below ED (expected dogs, i.e. a winning pace). Heading into April 13′s dinner, he had only eaten 175. He would have needed to eat 20 by the end of the day to get back to neutral ED.

In something of a variation on Phil Ivey’s $1m vegetarian prop bet, a Two Plus Two poster has bet his friend he can eat 450 hot dogs in the month of April. Hero (a Canadian college student) is risking $1k to win $1.5k and is eating all the hot dogs live via webcam. He is allowed four, natural vomits throughout the month.
The thread is now 50 pages long. If you don’t want to go back and read the whole thread, this post will hopefully serve to get you up to speed:
Status as of April6 (ED=Expected Dogs, i.e. a winnings pace):

With a number of sources in Hollywood confirming last week’s rumor that Miramax Films has purchased a screenplay for Rounders 2, a new detail has emerged: Tom “durrrr” Dwan has been penciled in for a key role.
The sequel is expected to focus on the world of online poker, so the role would be a natural fit for durrrr. This morning, a 2+2 poster identifying himself as “a Miramax talent coordinator authorized to disclose limited information” said the screenplay features durrrr in an intense early scene.
When asked by another poster if the early scene would parallel the opening of Rounders (in which Matt Damon goes broke), the Miramax employee replied: “All I can say is that a misclick is involved. A huge misclick.”
