Heads Up: David Chiu Versus Barny Boatman

Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, where we take 64 of our top pros and face them off against one another until we’ve determined who’s number one. This week’s match is a seven seed versus 10 seed affair, with David “Flag Draper” Chiu taking on Barny “Not a real mobster” Boatman. One quick note before we get started: I’m an idiot. I completely underrated Chiu as I was making the seeding for this competition. He deserves to be a much lower seed than he is, and I apologize to everyone out there for this grave injustice. With that said, let’s get this party started:

Heads Up: Steve Zolotow Versus Jon Turner

Welcome back for another round of action in the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, where we take 64 of our top pros and face them off one by one to determine who’s the top dog of them all. This week’s match is our final six seed versus 13 seed showdown, with Steve “Fly like an eagle” Zolotow taking on Jon “Thank god my favorite band isn’t Limp Bizkit” Turner. Today’s match will once again be slightly abbreviated due to prior engagements (i.e. getting drunk); we’ll try our best to return to our regularly scheduled programming as soon as possible. Let’s get this party started:

Heads Up: Andy Black Versus Jordan Morgan

Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, where we take 64 of our top pros and pit them against one another in metaphorical steel-cage death matches to determine the greatest Full Tilt Poker pro of them all. This week’s match is the third of our 6 seed versus 11 seed showdowns, with Andy “Tilt happens” Black taking on Jordan “Luck has nothing to do with it” Morgan. Let’s get this show on the road:

Heads Up: John Cernuto Versus Niki Jedlicka

Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, where we take 64 of our top pros and pit them against one another in a Mortal Kombat style showdown. OK, so nobody gets killed, but you get the idea. This week’s match is the second of our six seed versus 11 seed showdowns, as John “May or may not be from Miami” Cernuto takes on Niki “I shouldn’t have switched screen names” Jedlicka. This should be a good match folks, as we have an established vet taking on one of poker’s young guns. One quick note before we get started, today’s match will be a slightly abridged version of what we normally do, as I’m feeling lazy today and could only be bothered with seven categories, not the usual nine. Without further ado:

Heads Up: Berry Johnston Versus Jared Hamby

Welcome to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, where we deliver the best in non-poker related heads-up play. Today we’ll be bringing you the first of our 6 seed versus 11 seed matches, all of which pit some of our more “old school” players versus some of our “young gun” Internet players. This match features Berry “Classy and respectful is no way to play poker” Johnston versus Jared “I’ve been wearing the same hat for the past 10 years” Hamby. Old school versus new school, experience versus youthful exuberance – whatever you want to call it, this titanic clash of cultures should be a fun ride to take. Let’s get this party started:

Heads Up: Scott Fischman Versus Brandon Adams

The 2008 WSOP is in full swing and we’ve got our pros winning just about every other event. Nevertheless, the madness that is the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge simply must march forward. Today’s match should be an instant classic, as 5 seed Scott “I wish my name was Sharkman” Fischman takes on 12 seed Brandon “No relation to Samuel” Adams. Alright people, it’s time to sit back and watch history unfold before your eyes:

Heads Up: Roland de Wolfe Versus Aaron Bartley

Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, not to be confused with the Full Tilt Poker $25K Heads-Up World Championship. The $25 HUWC was an actual “poker” event held this past weekend on FTP where real “players” competed against one another for prize money. This Heads-Up Challenge actually has nothing to do with “poker” in any way, except for the fact that we’re talking about “poker players” here. So with that little caveat aside, let’s move on to the good stuff. Today’s match is another 5 seed versus 12 seed battle, as Roland “Proof that even British people can play poker” de Wolfe takes on Aaron “Ladies, I’m single and I have a car” Bartley. This should be a good one folks, as an established live pro takes on our first real online player. Gentlemen, start your engines:

Heads Up: David Benyamine Versus David Singer

Most of the matches so far in the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge have been David versus Goliath situations – not today. This time we’ve got a David versus David match-up, as 5 seed David “The only Frenchman on earth that I’m actually jealous of” Benyamine takes on 12 seed David “Not a real singer” Singer. At first glance it appears this should be an easy victory for the Frenchman, but Singer could prove to be a tough opponent. Do we have another upset brewing? Only time will tell. And me. Because I get to decide who wins and loses. So, in a way, I’m more powerful than time itself. It’s just the first in a long line of steps leading me to a god-like status. Wow, we better get this match started before my delusions of grandeur start gaining power. On to the showdown:

Heads Up: Gavin Smith Versus Marco Traniello

Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, where we pit 64 of our top pros against one another to see who will emerge victorious and be crowned king of the Tilters. Today’s match promises to be a good one, as 4 seed Gavin “I play better when I’m drunk” Smith takes on 13 seed Marco “Thank god I don’t have to cut hair for a living anymore” Traniello. Kick the tires and light the fires, let’s get this puppy airborne:
