One Angry Monkey One Angry Monkey

Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge, where we’re putting 64 of our top pros into competition with each other to see who comes out on top. This week’s match features a one seed versus a 16 seed. Jennifer Harman, one of the world’s top female poker players, takes on some guy most people have never heard of before. Everyone, meet Mr. Alan Boston. Your life will be much richer for the experience.

Remember, this competition has very little to do with poker. We just have way too much time on our hands over here. Check out the full tournament bracket below. On to the match:

Category

Jennifer Harman

Alan Boston

Survey Says
Career Earnings

More than $1.5 million

Almost $300K

We were going to make some joke here, but it wasn’t going to be funny. Mark one up for Harman.

Major Titles

2 WSOP bracelets

Zilch

See above. Harman two, Boston zero.

Tournament Play

Never mind being the world’s best female tourney player, she holds her own when compared with anyone.

Boston’s made a few WSOP final tables, but we think he’d be the first to tell you that tourney play is just not his thing.

Based on Boston’s recent appearance on Poker After Dark, we’re starting a petition that he shouldn’t be allowed in a tourney ever again. Harman takes down another category.

Cash Game Play

Hangs with the big boys in the Big Game at the Bellagio.

An old school player who’s one tough nut to crack in any cash game.

We’d love to give this one to Boston, really. Harman’s just on a whole other level. The shutout continues.

Best Game

A great all-around player, Harman specializes in Limit Hold ‘em. She even wrote the chapter for it in the bible, er, we mean Super System 2.

Boston is known as one of the world’s top 7-Card Stud players.

What’s 7-Card Stud? We’ve never heard of that. Seriously. Is it a game from ancient civilizations or something? Harman wins another.

Table Talk

Very little. She lets her cards do the talking for her.

An experienced and effective trash talker.

We’ve got to give one to Boston, right? The shutout must be stopped!

Nickname
Super Mom

Crazy Eyez Killa

We just made both of those up. We apologize for the lameness of the Harman nickname; everything else we came up with was offensive and turned down by our editor. Personally, we think that “Sweet Cheeks” is in no way offensive, but we’re idiots. At any rate, we really hope the Boston nickname catches on, it’s well deserved. Mark one more for Boston. Don’t call it a comeback.

Special Skills

Raising multiple children simultaneously

Sports handicapping

We love kids here, no BS. But we love sports betting even more, and we’re grateful for the hard working handicappers of the world. God bless them all. Boston’s on a major run here.

Outside Poker

Family woman with a stay at home husband. (Sorry Marco, just kidding).

One of the world’s foremost college basketball handicappers.

Once again, we have nothing against children or families here. It’s just that we never want either. “March Madness,” on the other hand, is something we never want to leave our lives. Boston takes it down.

This one started as a shutout, but Boston made a nice comeback. Go Crazy Eyez, rock on with your bad self. Still, the final score of five to four means that there’s no big time “March Madness” style upsets happening today. Harman advances to the next round, though probably not as comfortably as she’d prefer. Check back next week for another round of intense tournament action.
