Welcome back to another round of the Full Tilt Poker Heads-Up Challenge. This week we have another 2 versus 15 match-up as Phil “If I have to announce another stupid celebrity poker tournament I’m going to kill myself” Gordon takes on Kristy “My ex-husband can’t kick a football” Gazes. After our first big upset in the challenge last week the only question is, will history repeat itself? Only time will tell. And me. Because I write these and get to decide…
At any rate, you can check out the full bracket below. On to the match:

Career Earnings
|
Over $2.3 million |
Almost $850K |
$850K is a lot of money for your average person, but not for a professional poker player. Come back when you’ve got a million Kristy, maybe then we’ll talk. Round one goes to the tall one. |

Major Titles
|
One WPT title |
Nada. Unless you count the WPT Ladies Night as a major tourney (and we don’t (not because we’re male chauvinist pigs) (although we are) (but that’s not the reason)). |
One major title Phil? Is that the best you can do? Really? And to think I once listened to your advice on poker. At any rate, you’re still better than Kristy Gazes. And me. Gordon two, Gazes zero. |
|
Tournament Play
|
Despite only winning one major title (what’s up with that?), Phil really is one of the best tourney players out there. |
Not known as a tourney player, but she has certainly held her own in past events. |
My editor just informed me that Gordon also made the final table of the WSOP Main Event in 2001. So I guess that has to count for something as well. One title?! Oh, never mind. Ring another point up for Phil. |
|
Cash Game Play
|
Probably known more as a tourney player than for ring game play, this Tiltboy has nonetheless rocked the cash games on more than one occasion. |
If it’s even possible, Kristy is a mixed-game, high-stakes cash game specialist. Whatever that is… |
To prove that we’re not male chauvinist pigs, we’re going to give this one to Kristy. We’re all about equality and all that crap. I should probably just shut up now. Gordon three, Gazes one. |

Best Game

Roshambo
|
Mixed Games |
We all love riding the HORSE once and a while (especially Big Donkey, but that’s for an entirely different reason), if only because variety is the spice of life. But Roshambo is truly a game of mad skillz. Big up to the Roshambo maestro. Ship it holla to the tall one. |

Tiltboy
|
Mixed Games |
Being a Tiltboy isn’t so much about being a part of some club as it is a state of mind. There’s just no way that Kristy “Mixed Games” Gazes can keep up with these boys. Gordon continues with his beat down. |

Former Affiliations
|
Used to host Celebrity Poker Showdown. |
Used to be married to Bill Gazes. |
We’re huge Bill Gazes fans here. We can’t even begin to imagine why Kristy would want to divorce a man who could kick a football like this. Needless to say, Kristy takes down her second category. |

Outside Poker
|
Poker commentator extraordinaire |
Professional options trader |
We’re not sure what a professional options trader does, but that’s what it says about Kristy on her Wikipedia page – so it must be true. This one goes to Gordon, certainly one of the best poker commentators out there today. |
So there you have it. Gordon stares down Gazes by a score of six to two. We’re usually good for nine categories of judgment per heads-up post, but the way this beat down was going we had to stop it before it got too ugly and out of hand. Plus, we’re lazy. Very, very lazy. And we ran out of things to say about Kristy. Not that she’s boring or anything – did we mention that she was married to a man who can kick a football like this. Classic, just classic…
