It was a big weekend around the poker world both live and online. The live poker tournaments are starting to ramp themselves up as we move closer to the 2010 World Series of Poker. This weekend saw Vanessa Selbst hit the NAPT Mohegan Sun Main Event final table and go on to crush the entire table. She reached heads up play with an 18m to 3m chip lead and finished off her opponent in just seven hands. Her victory added $750,000 to her bankroll and put a jolt of energy through the community.

The Big Money Sunday tournaments had several big online pros run deep adding a little excitement to normal rail grinding. You can usually find Danny “The__D__RY” Ryan near the top of the big online tourmaments and he added another title to his resume when he won the Sunday Brawl in the first big result of the evening. That final table also featured Christian “da_professional” Iacobellis who finished in 7th.

Matt “All In At 420″ Stout had the biggest roller coaster of the evening in the $750,000 Guarantee. With 50 players remaining he was sitting in second place and running strong. As the field narrowed to 18 he took some major hits dropping all the way down 29,000 with blinds at 12k/24k with a 3k ante. Playing like the short-stack ninja he ran that back up to over 500,000 when he ran his BB JackAce in the AK holding by the UTG player. Unable to pull another rabbit out the hat he finished up in 12th. Pro player Millad “losebigpots” Joshari was the top name at the final table but settled for 7th. Unknown player “omgfml2″ has Full Tilt pro Jeff Madsen sweating him to his second place finish where it seems Madsen had a percentage of the action.

Five more players won their way into the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event on the cheap. indeegirl, QH199, RW38, TheGrimble, and vujica are the next to qualify via the Sunday $1 Main Event satellite getting through a field of over 33,000 players. It was another huge overlay for the price with over $26,000 in value added by Full Tilt. The event again ran for 4 hours giving players plenty of time to get in, get out, or win it all with time to spare.

Satellites continue to run on a full time basis for both Main Event seats as well as the Bracelet Races for the smaller WSOP buyin events. Players are also getting ready for the upcoming FTOPS XVI series starting on April 23rd. Plenty of options on the site for all bankroll levels.
