Logging In

If you haven't done so already, download the Full Tilt Poker game software and set up an account.

When you're ready to start playing poker, open the Full Tilt Poker game software. Once you're connected to the game, you'll be prompted to enter your login information:

Enter your player name and password, and then click the Login button. This will open the main lobby:

Main Lobby

When you're logged in to your account, the title bar of the main lobby will read "Full Tilt Poker – Logged In As" followed by your player name. If you are not currently logged in, you can do so by opening the Account menu at the top of the lobby and selecting Login…

Lobby Views

Full Tilt Poker offers three unique views of its main lobby:

Standard View – Offering unparalleled control over game selection and management, this is the full-feature view of the main lobby. Learn more about Standard View.

Basic View – Featuring a step-by-step guide to finding the games you want to play, this view is recommended for beginning players. Learn more about Basic View.

Mini View – Offering the same features as Standard View, this view is perfect for players with a small or low-resolution monitor. Learn more about Mini View.

To change your Lobby View, open the Options menu at the top of the lobby, choose Lobby View and then select your preferred Lobby View.

The Browse Area

In Standard View of the Full Tilt Poker game lobby, the browse area is located at the top of the lobby:

Use the browse area to search for the games you'd like to play. Start by choosing to play for Real Money or for Play Money, as shown below:

Next, choose the poker type you'd like to play. We offer five different types of games:

Poker Types

Ring Game – Also known as a "cash game", a ring game features fixed blind levels at tables where players can come and go as they please.

Sit & Go – A type of tournament that begins when the required number of players has registered (as opposed to a scheduled start time).

Tournament – Also known as a Multi-Table Tournament (MTT), a tournament begins at a scheduled time. Learn more about Full Tilt Poker's tournaments.

Live Events – You can qualify or buy in directly to exciting land-based tournaments located all around the world. Learn more about Full Tilt Poker’s Live Events.

Rush Poker - Available exclusively at Full Tilt Poker, Rush Poker ring games and tournaments are the ultimate high-speed poker experience. Learn more about Rush Poker.

Once you've chosen the poker type you'd like to play, make a selection in each of the subsequent columns to refine your search.

For ring game selections:

  • Choose the game type (Hold 'em, Omaha, Stud, etc.)
  • Choose the limit type for that game (No Limit, Pot Limit, etc.)
  • Choose your stakes; you can either select a pre-set group of stake levels (for instance, select Micro for stakes ranging from $0.01/$0.02 to $0.10/$0.20) or click the Custom button to display specific stake levels.

Custom Button

For Sit & Go selections:

  • Choose the Sit & Go type (1-Table, Heads-Up, Multi-Table, etc.)
  • Choose the game type
  • Choose the limit type
  • Choose your stakes; as with ring game selections, you can either select a pre-set group of stakes or set a custom stake

For tournament selections:

  • Choose the tournament type (Cash, Guarantee, Satellite, etc.)
  • Choose the game type
  • Choose the limit type
  • Choose your stakes

For Live Events selections:

  • Choose the live tour
  • Choose the tour stop (often listed by city)
  • Choose the category (qualifier, satellite, etc.)
  • Choose your stakes

For Rush Poker selections:

  • Choose the game type
  • Choose the limit type
  • Choose your stakes

Advanced Filters and Favorites

Use the Advanced Filters (located beneath the browse area) to customize your search:

Refine your search by using filters such as Table Type and Minimum Average Pot for ring game and Rush Poker selections, and Tournament Type and Speed for Sit & Go and tournament selections.

When you're done, click the Add as Favorite button (located next to the Advanced Filters button) to save your search as a Favorite. You can access your saved Favorite lists at any time by clicking on the Favorites tab:

The Game List

As you refine your search using the browse area and Advanced Filters, the game list below the browse area will be populated with your selections:

The headings above each column allow you to control how the game list is displayed. You can click on the headings to sort the game list by column, in both descending and ascending order.

For ring game selections, you can sort the game list by these headings:

  • Table – Sort the game list by table name
  • Stakes – Sort the game list by table stakes
  • Type – Sort the game list by limit type, such as No Limit (NL) or Pot Limit (PL)
  • Plrs – Sort the game list by number of players at the table
    • The first number in the Players column indicates the number of players currently seated at the table, while the second number indicates the maximum number of seats at the table
      • For example, if 6/9 is displayed in the Players column, this means there are currently six players seated at a nine-handed table
      • Avg Pot – Sort the game list by the average size of the pot at the table
      • Plr/Flp – Sort the game list by the percentage of players at the table who see the flop on each hand
      • H/hr – Sort the game list by average number of hands played per hour at the table

You also have the option to either hide or show full ring-game tables in the game list. Click the checkbox above the game list to control this option:

For Sit & Go selections, you can sort the game list by these headings:

SnG Columns

  • Status – Sort the game list by the status of each Sit & Go
    • If the status is Registering, you can register for the Sit & Go
    • If the status is Seating, the Sit & Go is now full and about to begin
    • If the status is Running, the Sit & Go is in progress
    • If the status is Entered, you have successfully registered for the Sit & Go
    • If the status is Completed, the Sit & Go is over
    • If the status is Late Reg., this means the tournament is already running but registration is still available
  • Event – Sort the game list by game type, such as Hold 'em or Omaha
  • Buy-In – Sort the game list by the buy-in amount of each Sit & Go
  • Plrs – Sort the game list by the number of players in each Sit & Go
    • If the Sit & Go is open for registration, the number of currently registered players is displayed, along with the number of players needed before the Sit & Go begins
      • For example, if 60 of 90 is displayed in the Players column, that means 60 players are currently registered for a 90-player Sit & Go
    • If the Sit & Go is running or completed, the Players column displays the total number of entrants in that tournament

For tournament selections, you can sort the game list by these headings:

Tournament Columns

  • Date – Sort the game list by the time and date that the tournament begins
    • If the date displayed is Running, the Tournament is in progress
    • If the date displayed is Late Reg., this means the tournament is already running but registration is still available
  • Event – Sort the game list by game type
  • Buy-In – Sort the game list by the buy-in amount of each tournament
  • Plrs – Sort the game list by the number of players in each tournament (as with a Sit & Go)
  • Prize Pool – Sort the game list by the total current or minimum prize pool of each tournament

The list is color-coded to make it easier for you to differentiate between tournament types and identify individual tournaments. Learn more about the tournament and Sit & Go color-coding scheme.

You also have the option to either hide or show both Running and Completed Sit & Gos and tournaments in the game list. Click the checkbox above the game list control this option:

For Rush Poker selections, you can sort the game list by these headings:

  • Table – Sort the game list by table name
  • Stakes – Sort the game list by table stakes
  • Game – Sort the game list by game type
  • Type – Sort the game list by limit type
  • Plrs – Sort the game list by number of players in the Rush Poker player pool
    • The first number in the Players column indicates the total number of entries in the player pool, while the second number indicates the maximum number of players per table
      • For example, if 60/9 is displayed in the Players column, that means there are 60 entries in the player pool and the tables are nine-handed

Game Icons

Game icons are displayed in the game list to give you specific information about a table or tournament.

For ring game and Rush Poker ring game selections:

Game Icons

  • Ante – Ante tables require players to post an ante before each hand is dealt
    • For example, a $0.02/$0.05 Ante table features a $0.01 ante
    • Cap – Cap tables feature a cap to the amount each player can bet in every hand
    • Deep Stack – Deep Stack tables allow players to buy in to the game for a minimum of 75 big blinds or a maximum of 200 big blinds
    • Shallow Stack – Shallow Stack tables allow players to buy in to the game for a minimum of 20 big blinds or a maximum of 40 big blinds
    • New to the Game – New to the Game tables provide players with an easier way to experience different game types and enhance their poker skills
    • Speed – Speed tables feature auto-posted blinds, shortened decision times and no disconnect time bank
    • Rush Poker – Rush Poker tables feature the world's fastest poker game
    • Adrenaline Rush – Adrenaline Rush is Rush Poker at its fastest; all tables are 4-handed and, in most situations, you can only raise or fold

Lobby Widgets

Customize your playing experience by using the Lobby Widgets provided to you in Standard View, directly under the Full Tilt Poker game clock:

Lobby Widgets provide at-a-glance information about your account, favorite games and Full Tilt Points balance to personalize the main lobby. You can choose which Lobby Widgets to display by clicking the Customize button at the bottom of the lobby. Learn more about Lobby Widgets.

Joining a Game

When you've found a game that you'd like to play, there are two different ways to join the game:

  1. Double click on the game in the game list. For ring game selections, double clicking will open up the table, where you can take a seat and start playing. For Sit & Go and tournament selections, double clicking will open up the tournament lobby, where you can click the Register Now button to register for that tournament. For Rush Poker ring game selections, double clicking will open the Rush Poker game lobby, where you can click the Join Now button to enter the action.
  2. Use the Lobby Widget buttons. Customize your Lobby Widgets to provide easy access to your favorite games. For ring game selections, enable the Player list window for ring games Widget and simply click on the Take Seat button to join the game. Alternatively, enable the Add me to Waiting List/View Table Buttons Widget and then click the View Table button to open the table, or the Add me to Waiting List button to join the wait list for that table. For Sit & Go and tournament selections, enable the Go To Tourney Lobby/Register Now Buttons Widget and then click the Go To Tourney Lobby button to open the tournament lobby, or click the Register Now button to register for that tournament. For Rush Poker ring game selections, enable the Go to Rush Poker Lobby/Join Now Buttons Widget and then click the Go to Rush Poker Lobby button to open the game lobby, or the Join Now button to go straight to the table.

The Cashier and Game Clock

The Cashier button is located in the top-right corner of the main lobby:

Click the button to open the Full Tilt Poker Cashier, where you can view your account balance, deposit or withdraw funds, update your personal information and more.

The Full Tilt Poker game clock is set to Eastern Standard Time (ET) by default and uses the 24-hour format. You can click on the time zone of the clock to change the time zone that is displayed:

Directly under the Full Tilt Poker logo in the main lobby, you'll find information about how many tables and players are currently active in the game:

Lobby Menus

There are nine drop-down menus in the main lobby that provide you with quick access to important information and settings options:

Closing the Game

While our poker room is always open, we understand if you need to take a break from the action. To close the Full Tilt Poker game software, open the Account menu and select Exit.
