Brazil’s best poker series offering over US$4 million in prize money

The biggest and best poker series in Brazil is back! Now in it’s sixth year, the Brazilian Series of Poker is firmly established as the premier poker series in Latin America. This year’s BSOP features an estimated US$4.2 million prize pool and Full Tilt Poker is giving players the opportunity to qualify for free.

BSOP Event 1 took place at the Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro from January 27th through February 1st, with 539 players taking part to create a prize pool of R$820,000 (US$490K). Marcelo Jensen from Argentina took down the first prize for R$179,500 (US$107K).

Qualifying tournaments are running now for BSOP Event 2 in Curitiba from Thursday, March 17th through Monday, March 21st. Players at Full Tilt Poker can win their seat by entering Freeroll tournaments, held daily at 21:35 BRST.

Last year’s BSOP featured top international poker pros such as Team Full Tilt’s Gus Hansen and Mike Matusow, plus Brazilian Full Tilt Poker pros Christian Kruel, Felipe “Mojave” Ramos, Caio Pimenta, Raul Oliveira and Leandro “Brasa” Pimentel.
