Raul Paez

Raúl Páez of Barcelona started playing poker in his local casino at the age of 25 and quickly developed a passion for the game. He built his bankroll by playing low-stakes ring games and tournaments before investing some of his winnings online. Raúl continued to play both live and online until he was ready for the international tournament scene.

Raúl scored his first big win in 2005 at the the 6th Annual Jack Binion World Poker Open. He placed 1st in the $500 Pot-Limit Hold 'em event and walked away with over $109K. Just a month later he followed this with a 1st place finish at the LA Poker Classic, earning over $97K. In 2006, he placed 3rd in the WPT Main Event for more than $298K. Raúl made his first WSOP Main Event appearance in 2008, where he ran deep and claimed $35K.

In 2010, Raul won the Partouche Poker Million in Madrid, for the first prize of €100K ($129K). He followed this up later in the same year by winning the €1,350 No Limit Hold ‘em tournament during the Cannes leg of the Partouche Poker Tour for a further €89K ($113K).
