Promotion Dates: Sunday, May 17th, 2009 through Sunday, May 24th, 2009
On Saturday, May 23rd, 2009 and Sunday, May 24th, 2009, Full Tilt Poker will host the $25K Heads-Up World Championship. This online tournament will feature a field of players competing in a series of single-elimination, heads-up poker matches until a final champion is determined.
Players may buy into this tournament directly for $25,000 in either real money or T$, or may satellite their way into the event through online qualifiers run on Full Tilt Poker starting on Sunday, May 17th, 2009. The tournament will be capped at a maximum of 128 players.
Players who win their tournament entry through an online qualifier will not be able to unregister from the $25K Heads-Up World Championship.
The 2009 $25K Heads-Up World Championship will feature byes in the first round of play if the tournament starts without a perfect number of players (e.g., 64 or 128). In this case, first-round byes will be randomly allocated and any players given first-round byes will automatically advance to the second round of play.
